Required Documentation for Indian Visa
When applying for an Indian Visa, US citizens will need to submit the following documentation: INDIAN VISA DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
-A completed application form. This can be obtained from the website of the Indian embassy or consulate where you will be applying for your visa.
-Your passport, which must be valid for at least six months from the date of your planned arrival in India.
-Two recent passport-sized photographs.
-A copy of your itinerary or flight details, if you have already booked your travel.
-Proof of sufficient funds to cover your stay in India. This can be in the form of bank statements or a letter from your employer confirming that you will be receiving a salary during your trip.
-A business letter from your US company, on company letterhead, detailing the purpose of your trip to India and confirming that you will be returning to the US after your stay.
Indian Business Visa Requirements
When applying for an Indian business visa, US citizens must submit the following documentation:
-A valid passport with at least six months of remaining validity and at least two blank pages
-One completed and signed visa application form
-Two recent passport-sized photographs

-A letter from your Indian company or organization inviting you to India for business purposes, on company letterhead
-Supporting documents for your planned business activities in India, such as an itinerary, conference schedule, or hotel booking confirmation
-Proof of sufficient funds to cover your stay in India
-A return ticket or onward journey ticket out of India
Fees and Processing times
The Indian business visa is valid for one year and allows multiple entries into the country. The application process can take up to two weeks to complete.
There are a few different types of fees that are associated with the Indian business visa. The first is the application fee, which is paid when you submit your application. This fee is non-refundable and must be paid in order to have your application processed.
The second fee is the visa issuance fee, which is paid when your visa is issued. This fee is also non-refundable and must be paid in order to receive your visa.
The third and final fee is the visa processing fee, which covers the cost of processing your application and issuing your visa. This fee is refundable if your application is denied or if you cancel your trip before your visa expires.
What happens if you get an Indian visa?
If you are a U.S. citizen and need to obtain an Indian business visa, you will need to submit the following documentation:
-A completed online application form
-A passport that is valid for at least six months from the date of your planned arrival in India
-Two recent passport-sized photographs
-A letter from your employer or organization indicating the nature of your business in India
-A letter of invitation from the company or organization you will be visiting in India
-Proof of onward travel out of India
-Visa fee (currently $160 for a single-entry visa, $265 for a double-entry visa, or $575 for a multiple-entry visa valid for up to one year)
Once you have gathered all of the required documentation, you can apply for your Indian business visa at any Indian consulate or embassy. The process usually takes about two weeks, but it is advisable to apply for your visa well in advance of your planned travel date.
