What is a visa?
A visa is essentially an entry document that is required by most countries in order to allow foreign nationals to enter. The process of applying for a visa can vary depending on the country, but usually involves submitting an application and supporting documents to the relevant embassy or consulate. There are different types of visas that can be issued, depending on the purpose of travel. For example, there are tourist visas, business visas, student visas, work visas etc. The requirements and conditions attached to each type of visa also vary depending on the country.
Generally speaking, citizens of Latvia and Malaysia will need to apply for a tourist visa if they wish to visit India for leisure purposes. The application process for a tourist visa is relatively straightforward and can be done online. However, it is important to note that this type of visa typically allows for a stay of up to 90 days in India. If you plan to stay longer than this, you will need to apply for a different type of visa.
Who needs a visa?
Indian visa requirements for Latvian citizens and Malaysian citizens are different.
Latvian citizens need a visa to enter India if they are travelling for business, tourism, work, study or medical purposes. The type of visa required will depend on the purpose of travel. For example, a business visa would be required for Latvians travelling to India on business-related matters, while a tourist visa would be required for those travelling for leisure purposes.
Malaysian citizens do not need a visa to enter India if they are travelling for business, tourism or work purposes. However, they will need a student visa if they are travelling to India to study, and a medical visa if they are travelling to India for medical treatment. Indian Visa for Malaysian Citizens
